[ Abstract ]

If we accept the axiom that communication infrastructures influence the development of cities and that the structural means that make it possible determine their own form, the objective of this article is to analyze the deficits generated by them, in relation to the urban plot, to address in parallel the solutions provided in the planning of the “Gran Bilbao” region during the first half of the twentieth century and that did not materialize until the eighties and nineties.
