[ Abstract ]
The French engineer Paul Sejourné (1851-1937) had an outstanding participation in the construction of the railway line Linares-Almeria, in the late nineteenth century. His work materialized in many engineering and architectural buildings, which now constitute a valuable heritage.
From the study of the original technical documentation, which was completed with several location and recognition activities that were recently carried out in the abovementioned line, the professional activity of Paul Sejourné in Southeast Spain has been reconstructed. The article also describes the main characteristics of the buildings in which he took part, showing their importance as artistic heritage.
