[ Abstract ]

This article is intended to refl ect the importance of the work carried out by the German photographer Otto Wunderlich and by the employees of Hydroelectric Iberian taking snapshots of several hydroelectric systems property of Hydroelectric Spanish and Hydroelectric Iberian that, over the years have exceeded the value of information / documentary initial reached an artistic heritage … unthinkable at that time. At present, due to the security purchased, this photo set has been restored and preserved for later description documentary in agreement with the internationally established standard ISAD (G): General International Standard Archival Description, adopted by the Committee on Descriptive Standards in 1999. Through these photographies you can see the types of constructions in the 1920s were built by these companies, as well as those that were already in operation. All these photograhies were collected on four albums that are conserved by Iberdrola in the Historical Archive and the Film of Bilbao. One of these albums was made to Hydroelectric Spanish by Otto Wunderlich in 1927, refl ected in the facilities were in operation. The other three albums were elaborated for Hydroelectric Iberian by their employees and cover the period of time between 1918 and 1926, its composition took photographs for the construction of the Cinca´s Damm and of its power station of Lafortunada. Iberdrola in its efforts to safeguard its valuable documentary heritage accumulated for over 100 years, is committed to activities aimed at their protection, conservation and diffusion.
