[ Abstract ]
The present article reviews and updates the current state of the company records in the Autonomus Community of Andalusia. The dispersion of the sources and the scarce knowledge of these records make difficult such task. After a review of the main records, two aspects are stressed: firstly, the need of reinforcing the public tools for information and protection of these files and, secondly, the necessity of giving support to the scarce, but interesting, initiatives developed within the private sphere. With active policies, it will be possible to incorporate these sources of knowledge from the socio-economic world into the rich documentary Andalusian heritage.
