[ Abstract ]
The article is dedicated to the heritage value of the company archives, and to the importance of maintaining, organizing and describing the documents as a research source. As a practical example, the figure of railway engineer Carlos Blanco Pozo has been brought to light , whose work and lines of action on Valencia local trains have been researched thanks to the systematic cataloguing of groups of records in the Historical Railway Archive of the Valencia Government.
