[ Abstract ]
The main aim of the Industrial Architecture Forum is to exchange experiences and update knowledge for the recovery and preservation of architecture and industrial heritage in Andalusia. It is a meeting point for integrating experiences and advances that have occurred in the field of protection, conservation and restoration in Andalucía and in the international environment in recent years, in order to open a debate into the possibilities of making use of industrial architecture by means of proposing various alternatives and action plans in relation to the dynamics of restoration and interpretation of industrial areas which have been generated recently in our Autonomous Region. The Forum forms part of actual methodological proposals relating to Industrial Heritage, investigating the connection between industrial architecture, engineering, social change, economic development and regional dynamics in Andalusia in the 19th and 20th centuries, in order to establish a future project that makes it possible to recover this rich legacy of our heritage.
